Lucivar Yaslana, from Anne Bishop's Black Jewels trilogy. I had a serious thing for him in high school and he's still one of my favourite book characters. I've never tried painting him til now, though.
I'm actually pretty happy with how it turned out. He's as much fun to paint as he was to read.

Lucivar (c) Anne Bishop.
Edit: After a few people misreading the colour of his hair, I've darkened it considerably. To be clear: the Lucivar I imagine has always had dark hair and I've dulled down the rim lighting behind him to make sure it reads that way now.
As a painting in general I like it -- I love the color use that you used, especially in the wings. The sky is also beautifully done, the whole background really. There are a few anatomy problems that I can see, mainly in the feet and some stiffness/awkwardness around his left shoulder. I agree with others that the shadows around his face are a bit dark, too. Overall though they do not detract from the feel of the picture, which is grim and atmospheric.
Now, onto my critique of this as fanart of a Black Jewels character...that's where it gets a little more in depth. The first thing that I want to address, and am amazed that no one has yet, is that you have made Lucivar blond. If you're going for artistic license, that is one thing, but you did not say you were, and it plainly stated in the books that his hair was not only black, like his brother's and Saetan's, but that it was shoulder length -- an anomaly among Eyriens as they were a warrior race and long hair made for a convenient handhold. So it's more or less impossible for me as a fan to connect this to Lucivar because of that. He is also a little bit too pale, and thin, though again your anatomy in and of itself is well done for the pose (and I forgot to mention I really like your spear
